Groundbreaking Ceremony for our new accessible ramp

As you may know our front porch and steps were destroyed last year when a vehicle lost control and hit the front of our building. It has been a long process trying to get it rebuilt considering the historic preservation rules we must follow, architectural drawings, surveys and requests for variances. We hope to get approvals in the coming months.

Remember St. Paul Armenian Church in your will. Create a lasting legacy that will help us carry on the traditions and heritage. See how in this informational brochure.

Progress on Church building

As many of you know our church building suffered major damage in June when a vehicle crashed in to the front entrance and destroyed the entire entrance way. It has been a long process working with the insurance company and architect to rebuild a historically accurate plan. We are close to completing design plans for the entrance and an accessible ramp that will lead from the parking lot. It has been time consuming as we need to secure approval by the Syracuse Landmark Preservation Board which looks to ensure we maintain the historic integrity of the building before we can apply for building permits and review contractor estimates. We hope to work through this process through the winter and break ground in April 2016. We have installed temporary stairs so that we may continue operating. Your patience and support have been appreciated.

In addition we have completed the exterior painting (see below) which was badly needed along with repairs to missing and damaged siding. There is an incredible amount of maintenance for a 117 year old building.

2015 Membership Dues Reminder

Dear Parishioner,

As we conclude this year, we are asking our members to complete their payments of 2015 annual dues. If you are receiving this it is because we do not have you registered as paid for your 2015 dues.

Membership dues are $150 for individual membership and $300 for family membership.  A new individual member is only $50 and a new family membership is $100 (2 year welcoming rate.)  In order to participate in our 2016 Parish Assembly and or be considered as a candidate for the Parish Council, membership dues for the year 2015 must be paid before the Annual Assembly.

As always, your time and talent is very much appreciated for participating in the functions and activities throughout the year and we look to the entire parish to share those talents to build a stronger more active church in the coming year.

Respectfully,The Parish Council
